In-app purchases are individual purchases that are made within the app, although the app itself can be free. So this allows your content to be monetized through the respective app stores.
You can specify the price for a single issue in your iTunes Connect, Google Play, or Amazon Store account. At the same time as the price, you define a product ID there. The product ID is a freely selectable identifier (e.g. "IssueMay2017"). In the Purple DS Manager you can add these properties for each issue under "Access" as "Paid content". Add a product ID for each platform on which you want to sell single issues.
To enter the product ID into the Manager, go to "Content" and open the specific issue. Click "Edit issue" to open the following screen.
1. Under "Access" choose "Paid Content" from the drop-down list.
2.-5. As soon as you activate "Paid Content" you will see some extra fields. Fill in the product IDs created for each app store / platform.
6. Select "Save".
All changes are instantly visible in the app in live and preview version of the app. If the app stores backend is connected correctly to the Purple DS Manager you will see the issues price below the cover image in the app. If it says "Buy" (no price incl. currency), then the connection between Manager and App Store Backend is not correct or missing. This can be set uo under "Teams" in the Purple DS Manager.
